Felicia D. Plett

Felicia D. Plett

Felicia Plett came to her legal career with a background in social services, advocating for families in poverty and assisting people with employment issues with the social services department in Ontario, Canada.

Ms. Plett moved to San Diego, California for law school where she continued to follow her passion for advocacy and social justice while working for Affordable Housing Advocates of San Diego, and San Diego Coastkeeper, two local non-profits concerned with community social justice issues.

Seeking to round out her legal perspective, Ms. Plett interned with the private sector, doing construction litigation with Reno Contracting, Inc. There, Ms. Plett assisted with in-house legal work, reviewing construction contracts, making insurance claims, filing construction liens and bonds, drafting Deeds of Trust, Promissory Notes, and business documents with the Secretary of State, as well as working on construction litigation issues.

With her down-to-earth, practical yet empathetic approach, Ms. Plett obtained her current position with Lepine Law Group, as Associate Attorney. Ms. Plett enjoys assisting Ms. Lepine with the unpopular cases, giving clients access to law who otherwise would be denied the benefits of the judicial system. These cases include oral contracts, fair housing claims, employment discrimination claims, domestic violence torts, and financial elder abuse.

Felicia was born and raised on a farm in Canada. She graduated from Uxbridge Secondary School, and then earned her degree in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University. After six years in social services, Felicia attended California Western School of Law and passed the California bar July 2016 administration, which had the lowest pass rate the bar has seen since 1986. While in law school, Felicia received various recognitions for excellence including, Pro Bono Honors Society Award, Academic Excellence Certificate, Moot Court Competition Finalist, and Certificate of Distinction. She was President of the Environmental Law Society, and Secretary for Amnesty International Society. In her spare time, Felicia enjoys running, hiking, camping, snowboarding, yoga, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
